My Portfolio

Hi, I'm Himangshu Sikder

Software Developer

A software developer with hands-on experience in front-end development and AI data work, building simple, responsive web pages and helping train generative AI models.

I'm Himangshu Sikder

I care about interfaces that are simple to use, and about data that is labeled carefully. Both decide whether a product actually works.

I'm a Bachelor of Computer Applications student at Narula Institute of Technology in Kolkata, graduating in 2027. I build front-ends with React, Tailwind, HTML and CSS, and I focus on forms, navigation and the small details that make a page easy to use.

I spent three months as an AI intern annotating and reviewing text datasets used to train generative AI models. It taught me how much a model depends on consistent, careful labeling.

Right now I'm learning cloud and cyber security, starting with AWS Solutions Architecture and a security workshop.

My experience

    • Labeled and organized large text datasets used to train generative AI models, improving training data readiness by 25%.
    • Annotated and reviewed text in Ango.ai, raising processing speed by 15% while keeping labels consistent.
    • Checked AI-generated outputs for errors in meaning, helping the team reach 98% dataset accuracy.
    • Improved text preprocessing and review steps, saving up to 10 hours of manual work a week.
    • Worked with annotation teams to align on labeling standards and resolve edge cases.
    • Completed 250 hours in 3 months and met every project milestone and deadline.
    • Built accessible, mobile-friendly web pages from scratch.
    • Added real-time form validation and error handling.
    • Built interactive features such as pop-up modals and copy-to-clipboard buttons.
    • Used Git and GitHub, and shipped finished work live through GitHub Pages.
    • Four-year undergraduate program. Expected graduation: September 2027.

Selected projects

  • A citizen complaint platform where people report local problems, stay anonymous if they want, and follow what happens next with a tracking ID. It's a front-end demo with sample data, so nothing is saved.

    • Report a problem in a few steps, anonymously if you prefer, and get a tracking ID.
    • Track status from Pending to In progress to Resolved, with the admin's response and share links for WhatsApp and email.
    • Awareness guides with search, category filters, saved guides and a grid or list view.
    • A customize panel for theme, accent colour, background, font, corners and animations.
    • An admin side with a dashboard, charts, complaint filters, bulk status updates and CSV export.
    • Works on phones, with a light and a dark theme.
    • HTML
    • CSS
    • JavaScript
    • Responsive design
    • Git and GitHub
  • A responsive landing page for a food delivery service, with sections for services, menu, customer reviews and an app download.

The menu has six dishes with prices and Order Now buttons. A navigation bar and footer link to every section, and the layout stays clean on mobile, tablet and desktop.
